Election of Liberal Party Leader

The Liberal Party has always benefited from our capacity to have an open internal selection process. I congratulate Sussan Ley on her election as Federal Liberal Party Leader, and Leader of the Opposition.
I also want to acknowledge the longstanding contribution Angus Taylor has made to our country over successive governments.
The Liberal Party must reflect the hopes and aspirations of all Australians. We will deliver a strong economy and a fair society.
The Liberal Party is the best bet to save Australia, but we must be an Opposition that displays humility and openness, while focusing on the things that really matter: the Nation, not the Party.
Liberalism is big enough for everyone, and having the capacity to embrace the diversity of Australia is not radical. Rather, it is the cornerstone of what Sir Robert Menzies believed:
“True democracy seeks to achieve not justice to a few or something for the talented but justice for all men, for all women, and regards the good life of the individual as the ultimate aim of government”
