We cannot save the Australian Dream unless we level the playing field for prospective first home owners.

Analysis of CoreLogic data reveals that under the Albanese Labor Government, first home buyers have been abandoned.

The data tracks how long it takes to save for a 20 per cent first home deposit, assuming they save 15 per cent of their income annually.

Nationally, the time needed to save for a first home deposit has increased by 14 months, since Labor came to power.

In three capital cities: Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart, this time has blown out by more than two years. All under Labor’s watch.

No wonder first home buyers feel abandoned. For many Australians, the dream of home ownership has become a nightmare.

Labor’s policies are failing prospective first home owners —we need to reprioritise first home ownership.

Labor is killing the Australian Dream. Only the Coalition can get us back on track.
